I hope for a better tomorrow and in joy that we are blessed with another day. If a person had the power to change the course of life for their people, their community, what would that look like? What does joy feel like? When I express joy, it’s in laughter, shared experiences and wrapped in the strength of Indigenous feminine energy and pure love for the people and the lands. My background in Pow Wow dance emerges with various works and colors. I find joy in color and ribbons represent various aspects of that joy. The work has a flair of regalia, and can be worn when not hung. The colors are a contrast to the darkness, the light that pushes through.
